MARTA and DeKalb County have studied options for transit expansion in South DeKalb County under the earlier I-20 East Transit Initiative. A Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) was the result of that effort, and the studies and reports related to that past LPA are available here. MARTA and DeKalb County are now revisiting options for high-capacity transit with the current South DeKalb Transit Initiative, building upon this earlier work in revising and advancing the LPA to reflect current transit needs and funding opportunities.
